Starlings are
even worse and will drive all the bluebirds out of an area occupying every available nesting
cavity unless man intervenes.
To assist the bluebird
we need to provide suitable habitats, winter roosts and keep a
good food supply available for them using bluebird feeders.
Eastern Bluebirds enjoy open woodlands, fields and farmlands with
scattered trees.
Eastern Bluebirds breed east of the Rockies from
southeastern Canada to Gulf of Mexico. The eastern
bluebird winters in southern part of breeding range and
