Eastern bluebirds are one of the most beloved songbirds and is
widely regarded as a symbol of happiness. This bluebird is 7”
long and eat berries, seeds, insects, earthworms and spiders.
Eastern bluebirds have declined in
numbers because of increasing competition from starlings and
house sparrows for nest sites. It is important for us to help
Mother Nature out and provide nesting boxes and bluebird houses
with near by bluebird feeders.
The female bluebird will lay 4 – 7
white or pale blue eggs.
Eastern Bluebirds
can be found throughout eastern North America from the Great
Plains to the Atlantic Coast and the southwestern US and into
Arizona.
